How to Add a Little Fun to Your Invitation Wording

We all know that weddings are typically a time for formalities and tradition but they are most importantly a time for celebration. That's why we love it when our couples get a little more creative with their invite wording and add a little whimsy, humor, or uniqueness to their suites. It's true that you want the main content of your invite to tell the traditional information such as your names, wedding date, and location. But a place on your invite where you can add some fun is the last line typically included on the invite that suggests what to expect after the ceremony portion. The most traditional phrase is "Reception to follow" or "Reception immediately following". But for those that like something a little different, here's some snapshots of some of our past invites that highlight some alternatives!

Another great place to add some fun to your invitation suite is the reply card. Again, the traditional wording for the RSVP portion is "Accepts with Pleasure" or "Declines with Regret", but for our light-hearted brides who we've seen an array of fun options!  Or, keep that portion formal, but add some things to the bottom like "I/We promise to dance if you play: ____" if you want to ensure your guests party all night long!  Here's a gallery of other ideas from our past clients.
